The AWE Team
Joy Sewing will share with us how she managed to achieve her dreams through creating her very own ‘dream team’ that consisted of great mentors and key supporters who have helped her throughout her journey. She knows that by having great mentors, she is able to turn her dreams into reality. At this upcoming AWE meeting, you can discover and learn from Joy Sewing, how you can build your own ‘dream team’ who would help foster success in your life and be the support team to rally round in achieving your dreams.
Joy Sewing, the Fashion and Beauty Editor of Houston Chronicle for over a decade now, has been able to achieve her dream job, combining her love for fashion and her passion for journalism. She is one of the handfuls of fashion editors who are still working with major newspapers.
In her line of work, she had countless opportunities to rub shoulders with the big wigs of Houston society, top fashion designers and celebrities including Beyonce. Joy Sewing has been covering Beyonce and her family since the time she worked with People magazine when the superstar was in her late teens. More recently, when Beyonce gave birth to her daughter, Blue Ivy, Joy Sewing had the exclusive story about her birth. The story she featured went viral and international.
In the height of her success, she only hopes to continue helping others and to be an inspiration and example to women to live their dreams and fulfill enriching lives emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually.
