Event Details

Cappella SF, a professional chamber choir, invites you to its fall concert on October 4th, 2014, at All Saints Episcopal Church in Palo Alto.

Cappella SF is a professional chamber choir founded by Ragnar Bohlin, Artistic Director of the Grammy-award winning San Francisco Symphony Chorus. Cappella SF was created to bring the magic of a cappella music from all stylistic periods to the Bay Area and beyond at the highest artistic level. www.cappellasf.org.

The fall program will reflect the change of seasons, moving into fall, and perhaps a more pensive state of mind. It will open with JS Bach's jubilant and virtuosic "Singet dem Herrn", and through Joseph Rheinberger's beautiful "Mass in E-flat" for double chorus, and gradually move towards more introspective music, ending with the haunting last movement of Alfred Schnittke's "Psalms of repentance".
