well known author, and expert on Southern California year round gardening, Pat Welsh, who will be speaking on Growing Organic Vegetables Year Round.
Pat is the author of bestselling Pat Welsh’s Southern California Gardening: A Month-by-Month Guide.
The talk will focus on planting and gardening year round in our mild Southern California weather and will be followed by a question and answer session. Afterwards, Pat will be signing her books.
Pat is an Emmy-award winning expert garden TV show host and author of many gardening books. She’s written countless articles and columns, hosted over 500 television segments and videos, including two garden videos for Better Home and Gardens, and instructed many demonstrations on HGTV.
All proceeds will benefit community gardens and artisan food projects in Orange County.
Slow Food Orange County is a local chapter of an international member-supported non-profit organization. Its aim is to spread food culture, to develop sensory and taste education, to protect biodiversity and to promote good, clean, fair food for all.

What are my parking options for the event?
The parking lot at the church is small. So, please plan some time to find parking adjacent on the street or at the following lot which is a short five minute walk from Tankersley Hall.
