Welcome to Aurora's 2nd Annual Thought Leaders Making a Difference speaker event!
We proudly present Ms Emily Bazelon. She presents findings from her research on bullying, factors that contribute to and sustain it, and what we as a society and community must do to end it.
Investigative reporter, author, educator, and expert on the social and legal facets of bullying, Emily Bazelon is noted for insightful and ground-breaking journalism. Extensive legal knowledge makes Ms Bazelon one of the leading authorities on the shifting landscape of bullying in the cyber age. Random House published her first book February 19, 2013.
Aurora's Thought Leaders Making a Difference speaker series offers unique opportunities to explore ideas and nuances about disability justice from view points that fundamentally differ from the so-called professional mainstream. So what does bullying have to do with disability justice? People with disabilities are second to LGBTQ population in the number reported cases of 'bullying' or harassment.
