A walking tour of historic downtown Aurora lead by Main Street Aurora precedes appetizers and tours of Hillforest (213 Fifth Street, Aurora, IN. 47001), the stunning 1855 mansion built by Thomas Gaff overlooking the town and the Ohio River, and an 1823 log cabin on the site.
Dinner and our southern regional preservation awards follow at the Great Crescent Brewery (315 Importing St, Aurora, IN 47001), an 1843 building that was part of the original Gaff Distillery.
For dessert, come to Veraestau, a historic estate owned by Indiana Landmarks overlooking a horseshoe bend in the river.
