Join Network For Progress, a social and media-savvy community for connecting professional and grassroots Progressives, Democrats and "Hope Mongers" with political and civic participation, for our August Progress Party as this month’s “1st Thursdays” Mixer will be a career and volunteer-themed Networking Night with our sub-group DC Career Progress!
We will be joined by Career Coach and former campaign organizer Emilie Aries of Bossed Up and some other career-building specialists while helping everyone navigate the networking landscape with color-coded labels for everyone’s field of interest etc. for you to connect with like-minded folks for potential collaboration and campaign, cause or service opportunities.
This should be a more casual AND more efficient alternative to “speed networking” where you have to meet EVERYONE for a minimum amount of time.
Want to be a N4P Co-Host event planner/recruiter/volunteer? Questions/Comments? Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
PLEASE INVITE FRIENDS & COLLEAGUES!

*ABOUT NETWORK FOR PROGRESS
As of February 10, 2011, the fourth anniversary of the Obama For America campaign, Network For Progress will serve as an interactive and creative online/offline political, civic, professional and personally-enriching Community, Advocate & Resource for the lessons of the "Yes We Can" Movement of Hope and Change to expand on the work of Organizing For America with the Mainstream Majority of Americans (including Democrats, Progressives, Independents, Republicans and those in between comprising young people and many other under-served constituencies) that voted for President Obama in 2008.
Network For Progress will promote the use of 21st Century “bottom up” Communication, Outreach & Leadership/Development grassroots-organizing techniques for an honest dialogue to create the necessary Personal Relationships & Viral Buzz to build a Movement that is continually being revolutionized by the growth of Google, Facebook, Twitter, blogs and other networking tools but was under-utilized after Inauguration Day when the social, social media & Media vacuum of public discourse was filled by Tea Party/Fox News’ coordinated activism and only recently has been valiantly promoted by Jon Stewart’s quest for “Sanity.”
Network For Progress will provide a platform for supporters to become OUR own “Obama” who is empowered to bring PROGRESS to our professional and personal lives as well as our town, our state, our nation and our world.
“Network For Hope. Network For Change. Network For PROGRESS.”
