Calling All Community Providers! The Second Annual “Region 11 Community Fair” is almost here!
The Department of Child Services, Region 11 (Hamilton, Hancock, Madison, and Tipton Counties) in partnership with the Children’s Bureau, Choices, Transitions Academy and the White River Christian Church cordially invite you to participate in our Community Networking and Family Fun Fair on August 20th!
After the success of last year’s inaugural Provider Fair, we’ve decided to go even bigger with a greater focus on our local communities and the children and families we serve.
Working Plan (subject to change):
Noon to 3:00 pm: Exhibit area will be open for community providers, both contracted through DCS and serving the community directly. Last year we had foot traffic of over 200 family case managers, probation officers, foster parents, teachers and other community professionals. Lunch is being catered in by Chuy’s Mexican restaurant and available at a nominal cost for all participants.
3:00 pm– 6:00 pm: The Family Fun Fair will begin! The exhibit area will remain open for all agencies/companies directly serving families within the region outside of a DCS contract (many of you may offer services through contract and outside of it and are welcome to stay open from 12 to 6pm.) In addition to the exhibit area, an outdoor “experience” area will open which includes a bounce house, police and fire vehicles, a family drum circle, free dinner and more. There will be Riley Safety Store giveaways, free books and backpacks, a car seat check station, and Community Partner referrals on site.
Exhibiting is free, but you must register. Tables are limited to one per organization, please. However, more than one representative is allowed per table.
If you are willing, we’d love it if you’d consider donating a gift card to be given away during the afternoon fair or hosting an “experience” for the kids (balloon animals, face painting, children’s game with small prizes, etc).
