The Scripps mission is to seek, teach, and communicate scientific understanding of the oceans, atmosphere, Earth, and other planets for the benefit of society and the environment.
Come learn more about this jewel of the University of California system; we invite you to join our 1-hour public tour offered the second and fourth Friday of every month (excluding UCSD holidays).
Tours are free but registration is required. A map and tour details will be sent with confirmation of your registration.
Parking: Parking in Scripps lots is by permit only. Please find a spot on the street.
There is generally parking in the one hour zone just north(west) of El Paseo Grande on La Jolla Shores Drive. Parking can often be found near Kellogg Park as well (8200 Camino Del Oro, La Jolla, CA 92037). Please allow extra time to find parking.
If registration is less than ten, the tour will be cancelled. We will send you an email at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled tour if it will be cancelled.
