Event Details

Thank you for your interest in participating in the 7th Annual Attend and Achieve Back-to-School Rally and Health Expo on Saturday, August 23, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Oakland City Hall, 1 Frank H. Ogawa Plaza, in Oakland.  The Health Expo will take place from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. after the student and parent workshops.  We appreciate your willingness to provide our community with much needed health services and resources to help send children back to school prepared to learn.  

The Attend and Achieve Back-to-School Rally was created to encourage daily school attendance with the understanding that chronic absenteeism contributes to lower graudation rates and the expansion of the achievement gap. By encouraging and supporting safe and healthy environments through the health fair, we can prevent chronic absenteeism due to chronic illness, provide children the opportunity to receive a quality education, and help produce positive health outcomes.

Our goal is to serve 2,000 children and families at the Attend and Achieve Back-to-School Rally. In addition to providing free backpacks, school supplies, hygiene products, and educational workshops and activities, your participation will ensure participants have access to health screenings and public health information to encourage healthy living and academic success.

Vendor Registration Information

We are asking vendors for a donation to cover the cost of materials for the day:

Basic Materials (One table and two chairs)
Suggested Donation:  $50.00

Basic Materials and Lunch
Suggested Donation:  $75.00

Basic Materials, Lunch, and Canopy
Suggested Donation:  $125.00

Basic Matierals, Lunch, Canopy, and Scavenger Hunt (Students will be REQUIRED to visit your booth to receive backpack giveaway)
Suggested Donation:  $150.00
