Malaysia Developers' Day, an event jointly organised by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission and AT&T, challenges developers from across Malaysia to build innovative mobile apps over the course of 24 hours.
The Developers’ Day serves as a catalyst for innovation and entrepreneurship, providing attendees with the resources, education and networking structure needed to produce quality apps in less time and at lower cost. Moreover, AT&T’s experts will be on hand to lend assistance where needed, transferring technology knowhow to the local innovators.
Participation is open to students, developers, innovators or anyone with a great idea. The first-place winning team will receive USD 10,000 in prize money to further invest in their ideas. They may also have the opportunity to present their apps to the delegates in APECTel in Hawaii via telepresence in September 2013 and also to present at the Malaysia Global Entrepreneurship Summit to be held in Kuala Lumpur on October 11-12, 2013.
