You are invited to attend the March 30th Atlanta Salesforce for Nonprofits User Group meeting. Note: This is an evening event.
6:00-6:30 Networking. Arrive in time to get a free glass of wine! Light snacks.
6:40-7:00 Click & Pledge SMS Auto-Responder Demo
Amada Styles, Salesforce Admin for the Atlanta nonprofit Literacy Action, will show us her implementation of SMS Auto-Responder. SMS Autoresponder is a new Click & Pledge feature just released in December 2015. It allows Click & Pledge customers a powerful method for communicating with patrons, event attendees, clients, and end users. The system may be set up to respond to SMS messages to the specific custom phone number(s) (as set with Twilio) with specific messages.
7:00-8:00 Presentation and group discussion: Volunteer Management
What is your organization doing to manage volunteers?
Gary Secor, a Salesforce Project Manager & Business Analyst (Cloudtroupe LLC), will start off our discussion of options for Volunteer Management with demo of his implementation of Volunteers for Salesforce.
Volunteers for Salesforce helps manage your volunteer events and people. A new release (3.83) just came out this month, Feb 2016! It manages volunteers, jobs, shifts, and hours, allowing you to track and report on all of the data as well as allow public signups via Sites pages on your website.
- Manage volunteers and their volunteer hours
- Manage volunteer jobs and optional shifts
- Allow volunteer and job signup on your website
Volunteers for Salesforce provides tools for managing your organization's volunteering program. You are able to track who your volunteers are and the hours they have worked, all of your volunteer jobs, both ongoing, and for a specific event, and shifts for specific jobs. The app also provides several Sites pages that you can host in your website to allow people to tell you they want to be a volunteer, or to actually signup for a specific job (and shift).

The purpose of this User Group is to make Atlanta-area nonprofits more successful with Salesforce. Members include both those that are employed by nonprofits as well as consultants providing Salesforce expertise to nonprofits. There is no membership fee to be in the group, and you can attend meetings as often or as rarely as you wish.
We try to cover a range of Salesforce features and/or third party apps, and to appeal to attendees with different levels of experience. A valued part of the meeting is the sharing of knowledge as attendees help to answer each others’ questions.
Hope to see you at the next meeting!
