Sunday, July 29, 2012 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Join us as we team up with Cogswell Polytechnical College to celebrate with a day of classic Atari games, prizes and more!
Special guest: Al Alcorn, Atari employee #3 and the creator of Pong, will speak about his early days at Atari and the development of Pong!
On July 29th, from noon to 5pm, we'll have Atari games and many other vintage games on classic consoles at:
Cogswell Polytechnical College
1175 Bordeaux Drive
Free admission for all! Over 300 games! Play, spectate, and kibitz!
We're delighted that so many people have signed up for the Atari Party. At this point, there are a lot more signups that the venue will hold. However, we know from experience that a number of people sign up for a free event and then decide not to come. If we cap the registration, we may have a small turnout, and if we don't cap it, we might have an overflow. What to do!?!
We've decided not to cap registration and encourage you to register if you want to come. If there is overflow, we'll figure out how to make it fair to everyone. It's a nice campus and you'll enjoy the lawns and the basketball hoop (bring your basketball) until the crowd thins, because there are always people coming in and people leaving. Here's what else you need to do:
Print your ticket! We usually don't collect these, but this time we will, because it tells us when you registered. This will be helpful if we need to stagger entry. You can also show it on a cell phone.
Go sign up at our web site. We notify our mailing list of events before we do any other publicity, so get in on the news early in the future.
Come and have fun!
