Event Details

You are cordially invited to the 50th (actually 51st) anniversary celebration of the Santa Clara Valley Section of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME-SCVS) from 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, June 9th, 2006 at the beautiful Mission Gardens of Santa Clara University. We will be celebrating with a few stimulating speeches, wine tasting and barbecue, to be followed by a few memorable section stories and award presentations.

The cost will be $25 per person for SCVS members, $35 for non-members, including salads, barbeque, wine tasting, non-alcoholic drinks, dessert and gratuities.

Schedule :
4:00-5:30 p.m.: Appetizers, informal conversation, cash bar
5:30-6:00 p.m.: Welcome by the section chairperson Amer El-Hage, with introductions
A brief SCVS history by Bill Adams, member of ASME History and Heritage Committee
A few words of wisdom from Terry Shoup, incoming ASME International President 2006-2007
6:00-7:30 p.m.: Wine tasting and barbecue
7:30-8:30 p.m.: Personal story telling from past chapter events, award presentations

Location: Santa Clara University Mission Gardens (next to Adobe Lodge)
