Event Details

Register for the AskCHIS Community Workshop on Wednesday September 25th, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Learn how to power up your program planning and policy advocacy with data from the California Health Interview Survey (CHIS), the nation's largest state health survey and one of the few to provide local-level data on California's large and diverse population. Join staff from the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research's Health DATA Program for a no-cost, three-hour workshop on how to use AskCHIS, the free, easy-to-use online web tool that enables you to search for health statistics on your county, region or statewide.

 You'll learn how to:
*   Search for statistics on health topics that matter to you;
*   Interpret your results; and,
*   Graph and export data for placement in reports and presentations.

This workshop is an introduction -- participants who have never used CHIS data before or who have limited experience in utilizing any data are especially encouraged to register -- and will make your grant proposals and action plans more compelling and evidence-based.
