Our first stop in our "World Tour" series takes us on a culinary journey through Southeast Asia. You'll learn techniques to create recipes from countries throughout one of the world's great culinary regions.
Southeast Asia is one of the oldest inhabited regions in the world and it's food reflects the mix of people and traditions established over the centuries.
This first stop on our World Tour promises to be both fun and interesting so grab a friend and climb aboard. Class space is limited.
Chef Carrie's classes are not cooking "demonstrations".
"World Tour" participants experience hands-on production and informative lecture in a professional kitchen setting with highly credentialed Chef instructor Carrie Hegnauer as your "tour guide".
During this interactive 4 hour session you'll prepare classic and contemporary palate pleasing dishes from countries in the Southeast Asian region.

Chef Carrie Hegnauer is a long time culinary educator with prestigious Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte, NC.
A classically trained and highly credentialed chef with a quick wit and vibrant personality, Chef Carrie is a JWU graduate and holds an FMP (Food Management Professional) designation from the National Restaurant Association, a CHE (Certified Hospitality Educator) designation from the AMHA and two advanced certificates with WSET (Wine and Spirits Education Trust).
Chef Hegnauer has appeared often on The Charlotte Today Show, been a featured chef for Time Warner Cable's “Cooking With Johnson and Wales” and hosted a twelve segment series “Culinary Classroom” airing on Time Warner Cable’s Carolina on Demand. She has been featured on the cover of Today's Charlotte Woman and in several other publications.
