Pre-Conference Evening Program
October 2nd, 2012
"Meet Me at the Movies & Make Memories"
A one-of-a-kind film experience, created by ARTZ: Artists for Alzheimer’s®. Originally for people with memory loss and their care partners, the program is now designed for broader audiences. Short clips from classic films will be shown, followed by audience discussion and reminiscing, moderator guided. This program demonstrates how film has the power to connect us with our deep-rooted emotional memories – the kind that stay with us throughout our lives. (This program is for the community and professionals free of charge. Pre-registration required).

The conference includes nationally recognized speakers and experts leading interactive, creative arts workshops. Afternoon keynote remarks feature John Zeisel, Ph.D., author of “I’m Still Here” and President of Hearthstone Alzheimer Care. To be followed by a live intermodal performance. Participants choose two of four interactive workshops designed around dance, music, visual arts, and story-telling/poetry. (This program is for professionals at a fee of $100.
