Artist's Boot Camp

Artist's Boot Camp will offer a variety of session to develop artist's professional skills in developing their art practice as a business and exploring the contributions of artists to the community of Long Beach. Registration opens at 8:00 am and the event ends with catered lunch at noon and a speaker and grant panel.
Sessions include: Insurance for Artists, Protecting Your Art Legally, How to Use Other's Artwork Legally in Your Art, How to Curate an Exhibition, Why Artists Need Insurance, Setting Up Your Art as a Small Business, How to Write an Artist's Statement, What is an Artist's Time Worth and more...
Sessions will be 45 minutes in length and issued to the first 25 attendees requesting a session. Tickets to a session will be issued at registration. No refunds will be issued but substitutions will be allowed. There will be a Vendor Village featuring resources and product demonstrations.
This event is offered in partnership with the Long Beach Arts Council and the Art Supply Warehouse. Lunch will be catered by Primal Alchemy.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Attendees are encouraged to take the Free Passport and get off on the corner of 8th and Pine. Parking is available for a charge of $5 all day at the lot on corner of Pacific and 7th Street.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, a list of registrants will be available at check in.
What is the refund policy?
There are no refunds but registration is transferable.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
Yes, substitutions may be made but the subsitute should give the original registrants name and indicate they are a substitute.
