Anyone who experienced the phenomenal world music concerts, touring indie music bands, singer-songwriters, traditional and modern dance performances, poetry readings, and the wide array of other distinctive events that took place at The Artery will be sad to learn that the unique artspace in the Museum District will close after 26 years.
We will celebrate its accomplishments during this Artery Closing Celebration from 8-10:30pm on December 7, 2013 at 5401 Jackson, Houston, Texas 77004. Please join us.
We will review videos of the many outstanding performances that have taken place on The Artery stage. It will be a great opportunity to meet and talk about the future of the Artery Media Project, as well as other projects that will benefit from the many years of work that went into the Artery, including a radio station focused on education and cultural arts, a public history series called Houston Story, and the Houston Museum of Culture.
