EXCLUSIVE ONE NIGHT SOLO EXHIBITION FOR ANDREY BOGOSLOWSKY
Currently working on 300 large canvases (and many smaller) with focus on origins of life and ancient civilizations, Andrey will showcase a selective collection of original paintings.
"On the surface, the painting looks banal such as flowers or cosmic view or a figure, but take your time and keep on looking and you will discover textural messages written in English, or invisible hands holding the sleeping figure. I also develop "invisible" pigments (colors) that can be seen only in a flash photo. Black light writings - visible only in complete darkness with black light lamps. I repaint 1000's of works on paper following an idea that "nothing is finished as long as I live." I am a full time artist." - Andrey Bogoslowsky
Washington DC artist Andrey Bogoslowsky was born in Saratov, Russia in 1966. He received his formal education at the Academy of Visual Arts in Warsaw, Plovdiv, Budapest, and Madrid. He immigrated to NYC in 1988, and moved to Washington DC in 2002. His work has been exhibited at numerous galleries in New York, Washington DC, and Delaware, including the Alla Rogers Gallery in Washington DC.
His abstract impressionist nudes, landscapes, and florals have been commissioned by Escada, and were featured in "Broken Flowers," a film by Jim Jarmusch.
50% of proceeds from the sale of the art Andrey Bogoslowsky will donate to Martha's Table.
