What to bring: Bike*, lock, MetroCard (if taking the train back), sun block, and water.
*RWA has a limited number of bicycles available at the meeting start date. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to request a loaner bicycle.
What to expect: We will ride at a relaxed pace on a combination of bike lanes, city streets, and off-street paths (including the Jamaica Bay Greenway) to Fort Tilden. At the park, the Rockaway Artists Alliance (RAA) will provide a --FREE-- guided tour of the Rockaway! public arts festival, organized by RAA and MoMA PS1 and sponsored by the Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy and the National Park Service. After the tour, bike home on your own, or follow a ride marshal back to Beach 116th St station. The bike ride is approximately 6 miles, one way.
Where to go: Take the A to Beach 60th St in Arverne (or ride your bike!). Check-in will begin at 9:15 AM.
