The Art League has challenged seven local mixologists from Bastille, Chadwick’s, Columbia Firehouse, the Light Horse Restaurant, RedRocks Neapolitan Bistro, Union Street Public House, and Virtue Feed & Grain to each select a piece of artwork from our April Pop Art exhibit as inspiration to create the most artistic cocktail & appetizer pairing and then compete for the title of Art on the Rocks champion.
Ticket holders sample all seven pairings and vote for their favorite at the event. A panel of experts including a representative from Catoctin Creek Distillery, Jenn Larsen, the editor-in-chief of WeLoveDC.com who writes about art, theater, and cocktails, and Morgan Hungerford-West, artist, creative consultant, and lifestyle blogger at PandaHeadBlog.com will crown the winner of the most creative cocktail, appetizer, and artwork pairing.
Appetizers from the restaurants, drawings for prizes, and live jazz music by the Gassmann Duo will complete the evening.
Mixologists include representatives from Bastille, Chadwicks, Columbia Firehouse, The Light Horse Restaurant, Red Rocks Neapolitian Bistro, Union Street Public House and Virtue Feed & Grain.
