Event Details

Professor Annie Labatt, UTSA, will take you on an art-historical trip from the cave art of prehistoric Spain to nineteenth-century Romantic Art. Complemented by delicious (and thematic) food and drink.

This 9-part lecture series will highlight a different work of art and time period each month. Free for members or with Museum admission.

Friday, October 18: Altamira - Cave Paintings and Prehistoric Art

Annie Labatt, a native of San Antonio, graduated from Barnard College and earned her PhD from Yale University. She was the winner of the Rome Prize from the American Academy of Rome. She also held fellowships at Dumbarton Oaks (Harvard University) and at the Metropolitan Museum (New York).
