2012 BCA Fine Arts & Technical Services Bureau Art Handler Training Program.
A light lunch will be provided
BCA’s Fine Arts & Technical Services Bureau has a 14-year track record of training professional art handlers in museum methods involving the safety, care, handling, packing, installation and transportation of art and artifacts.
The Art Handler Training Program is the first professional training and workforce development program of its kind. Since its 1998 inception, the program has trained over 135 individuals who have been employed by renowned art institutions like the Smithsonian, Sothebys, MoMA, the Brooklyn Museum and a whole host of private and public galleries. Many of our AHTP graduates are sought after and employed by some of the most prestigious art institutions in the country as registrars, exhibit installers, site prep supervisors, and fine arts storage specialists.
