London, United Kingdom
Opera composers not only wrote large works, but they also wrote songs, even using some as musical sketches for numbers that would appear in future operatic compositions. Come explore the world of opera in its miniature, intimate form –“ the art song." Penn State Music professor Jennifer Trost, who had a 15-year career as an opera singer, will perform songs in German, Italian, and English. She will be accompanied by pianist Christopher Guzman, who also teaches at Penn State’s School of Music.
