Session IV: Recycled Art and Sculpture

Open to 12 students - ages 6-12

8 one hour classes held once a week on Friday at 1 -2.

March 21, 28, April 4, 11, 25, May, 2, 9, 16, (8 classes)

It's Earth Day every day during this 8 week session exploring the art of repurposing in mixed media art, sculpture and assemblage art. Drawing from the works of Louise Nevelson, Joseph Cornell, Alexander Calder and many more, students will explore the artistic possibilties of cardboard, wire, wood, bottle caps, found objects, and other recycled items.

Instructor: Michell Kaskovich

 

Michelle Kaskovich holds a BA in English Literature. She created and facilitated a K-6 after-school art enrichment program and has more than twenty years experience working with children in classrooms and leading private, small group art classes. Michelle is a self-taught artist with a list of gallery exhibitions to her name.
