Event Details

We hear this a lot at the Hack Factory: people want to play with the Arduino, but they don't know where to start. If you've thought that too, then here's your chance to play! Arduino for English Majors is a friendly intro to the popular microcontroller. This class is designed for people with no background in electronics or programming, and taught by an actual English major (with help from someone who actually knows electricy stuff). If an English major can figure this stuff out, you can too!

11/10 and 11/17 class split into two sessions
7:00pm - 9:30pm
$30 non-members/$20 members

Students will need to supply their own Arduino and a laptop. If you don't have a laptop let us know, we can try to arrange for a computer.

Arduino for English Majors

An introduction to the arduino, the development software, and interfacing with basic hardware. The class will be broken up into two days, split one week apart. The first session will be an introduction to the arduino, and coding, we will be making a LED blink.

The second session will be working with sound and some other things worth mentioning with the arduino.

Teachers:Scott Hill (English Major) and Paul Sobczak (Engineering Major)
