The 3-hour Art Fair Friday evening will be divided into three hourly shows, with each show featureing wine tasting plus a music set, wine talk, and art/wine auctions and sales.  Irish tenor Tom LaHood will perform between 6 and 7, while Mark Morello and Kathryn  will perform some of their amazing duets between 7 and 9.  Bernadette Smith will accompany on piano.  A large collection of multi-media artwork created by Benson's own Bruce Jennison will be sold/auctioned off as well as over 70 bottles of vintage wine obtained from an Omaha collector.

Wines served will be by Eco Balance, a personal choice of Laurie Wolford of Spirit World, and she ought to know.  A good time should be had by all.  This is an Age 21+ event.  Expect to be carded if you don't look as old as Dr. D--and that's pretty old.

Benson Plant Rescue

Since 1999 the Benson Plant Rescue has been recycling all types of end season, overstock, and rescued plant good with proceeds to the Omaha Public Library:  over $30,000 for the purchase of children's books plus iMacs and iPads.  But 2013 represents a new chapter in BPR existence as we expand from a backyard operation to a literal and virtual world storefront.  The BPR mission is to promote the recycling and reuse of all types of plant goods and garden accessories, to assist community gardens and urban gardeners, and to promote community spirit and enviromental awareness.  Your contribution during this fundraiser will enable us to continue expanding our operation in hope we can do even more good for Omaha in the spirit of our corporate motto:  "Growing Community, Not Just Plants."  Thank you in advance for your generosity.
