When: Tuesday, April 23 6pm - 9pm. Come at 6pm for mingling and networking. The panel will begin at 6:45pm with Q&A immediately following speaker presentations.
What: Join us for an evening of conversation with fellow sustainability enthusiasts, a Sustainable Campuses panel, and an opportunity to talk with experts leading sustainability initiatives and education in our region. Panelists will discuss what actions their schools have taken to become more sustainable, what the challenges have been, how they’ve worked with local entities, and plans for the future.
Karen Blaney (UT Austin) - Karen serves as the program coordinator for the Green Fee Committee and helps to advance the approved Green Fee projects each year. Other areas of focus include the Longhorn Recycling Roundup tailgate recycling program, staff engagement initiatives and institution-wide sustainability reporting.
Peter Beck (St. Edwards) Peter Beck is Associate Professor and Coordinator of Environmental Science and Policy at St. Edward's University. He has worked in Kenya, Uganda and Costa Rica and his current teaching and research interests involve conservation incentives and campus sustainability.
Gwendolyn Hustvedt (Texas State) Gwendolyn Hustvedt is an Associate Professor of Textiles and the Graduate Advisor for the Texas State University's Interdisciplinary Masters In Sustainability Studies.
Andrew Kim (Austin Community College) Andrew Kim joined ACC as the Director of Environmental Stewardship in 2009. He holds a master's degree in architecture, and his designs have always been rooted in sustainability. At ACC, he works to unify the school's sustainability efforts and make sustainability a true part of ACC's culture.

Erin Autin - Erin coordinates the US - Mexico Border Energy Forum, a conference focusing on energy efficiency and environmental issues in the border region, for the Texas General Land Office, and serves on the board of Net Impact Austin as the Marketing Chair.
