Topic: Corporate BI + Self Service BI: Friends or Foes?
Description: This evening we plan to “step away from the keyboard” and consider a topic which is very relevant to today’s BI initiatives: the relationship between Corporate BI and Self Service BI. As companies attempt to find a proper balance between Corporate and Self Service BI, it is important to consider the obstacles, benefits, and solutions to achieve an optimal balance.
We will review Microsoft’s vision for an overall Business Intelligence framework which addresses analytical requests from both ends of the BI spectrum. We will also discuss concepts in the context of the organization’s need for data governance, change management, standardization, training, support, access of unregulated data sources, personal data exploration, among other challenges.
Join us for this facilitated roundtable discussion. Come prepared to share your experiences about what works and what doesn’t work. Bring your questions and suggestions for how to achieve success with both Corporate and Self Service BI initiatives.
