We're excited to announce our second hackathon! We've added a ton of stuff to the API since our last event so this event will be focused on creative uses of our new Messaging, File and Place APIs. With the introduction of our free tier now is a great time to experiment with the App.net platform. We're expecting folks of varying levels of familiarity with our API and much of the staff will be on hand to assist along with some veteran developers, so don't hesitate to join us!
We recommend you bring a laptop that you can develop / design on and perhaps a few clever ideas. We'll start the day with some intros and brainstorming, we'll provide breakfast, lunch and dinner, and we'll showcase everyone's work at the end and perhaps go out for some drinks after.
There is now a wiki page for sharing ideas.
The schedule is as follows:
- 10:00 - Check in / Breakfast
- 10:15 - Welcome and intros
- 10:30 - Welcome from Dalton / Brainstorming
- 11:00 - Form teams, commence hacking!
- 1:30 - Lunch
- Hack, hack, hack
- 7:30 - Dinner
- 8:30 - Show your stuff!
When registering, please pick a ticket type that roughly represents your tech focus. You need to be registered to attend the event.
While you're waiting for the hackathon to roll around, you can:
