Aperture 2 Intensive - Two Days of Aperture Training
Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at 10:00 AM - Thursday, December 10, 2009 at 7:00 PM (EST)
Join us for the screencast Webinar of our popular and well-received Aperture Intensive. This TWO DAY webinar will be lead by Aperture Users Network director David Schloss. Schloss will demonstrate all the features of Aperture and you can learn from the comfort of your own home, even participating in the discussion. (You'll be able to call in or use mics for conversation, as well as type your questions.)
Each day will be taught in two four-hour blocks (with some quick breaks and an hour-long lunch break between the sessions) for sixteen total hours of training. Attendees will have access to videos of the screencasts after the sessions. Classes will start at 10am, but the first day we'll open the forum at 9am so participants can introduce themselves, and so we can get any questions noted for discussion.
And you can rest assured that your investment in Aperture is protected—when the program is updated all attendees will have the ability to take those classes (or have access to those videos) for free! You can't lose with this course.
The class is $400 for non-members, Mac Premium members take the class for just $300. (And Mac Create Premium membership is just $40, so you save as soon as you sign up!)
I'm a Mac Create Premium Member, How Do I Get My Discount?

I'm NOT a Mac Create Premium Member, But Paying $40 to save $100 Sounds Smart. What Now?
Simply visit our Mac Create Premium description page or our Signup Page. Of course you'll also get access to our Premium content, video downloads and US residents have access to our online discounted Apple store.
We start at the beginning, learning Aperture’s interface, and then move on to importing, applying metadata, rating, adjusting outputting and archiving images.
Each step will be a thorough and complete examination of Aperture, looking at the best ways to customize the workflow to fit the needs of the individual photographer.
At the end of the two-day class you’ll be able to run Aperture like a pro, in fact this is the same course we use as the foundation for our own instructors.
But this program isn’t just mastering Aperture, it’s about taking control of your photographic life. We’ll teach you the best organizational practices, the systems of handling your images (both referenced and managed), library organization structure, how to use presets and customization to shave off countless hours and more.
If you’ve been confused on best practices for color management, image organization, output and archiving this class is for you.
We'll also talk about the interaction between Aperture and iLife/iWork, and cover the topics of "why Aperture instead of Lightroom"?
Who is this for?
The Aperture Intensive classes are designed for the serious and/or professional photographer, studio managers and other creatives that require the highest level of training available.
While focused and intense, this class is also designed to be enjoyable, and incredibly convenient.
If you're currently using Aperture 2 or are looking to jump-start your photographic process, this class is for you.
We recommend that ALL students have a familiarity with digital photographic concepts and with the Mac OS. If you haven't used Aperture before the class, please install it and play with it a bit first. We won't have the time to stop and answer photographic questions about shutter speeds and camera gear (though maybe we'll do another seminar on that!)
How do I Attend?
Simply sign up for the class and prior to the start you'll receive a link to the online webinar. Simply visit the link for the class and you'll be able to watch what's going on, ask questions and more. And when the class is over you'll be able to download and watch the seminar.
What if I Can't Attend This One But Want to Take The Class?
That's not a problem at all. We plan to run one session per month, and we're going to vary the times to make it easier for people across the US and in other countries to attend. You can also email us at email@example.com to ask us to add you to a list of people for future classes.
