This one-day course provides a technical overview of Apache Hadoop for decision makers and business users. Students will obtain a deeper understanding of Hadoop using real world use cases to help provide the understanding of the power of Hadoop. Included in this course are high-level overviews of the Hortonworks Data Platform 2.0. Attendees have the option of installing the Sandbox and following along with the instructor-led demonstrations.
Data architects, data integration architects, managers, C-level executives, decision makers, technical infrastructure team, and Hadoop administrators and developers who want to understand the fundamentals of big data and Hadoop architecture.
No prior knowledge of Hadoop is required. No programming experience is required
Students have the option of working through three demonstrations using the Hortonworks Sandbox using their own laptop. Prior download and installation of the Hortonworks Sandbox is required for those students wishing to do the hands-on demonstration. The Hortonworks Sandbox is available at no charge.
