New York Asian Women's Center

The New York Asian Women’s Center (NYAWC) is the largest Asian American focused domestic violence agency in the country, a premier human trafficking serving organization, and a national demonstration project that provides model services to survivors of sexual assault.

New York Asian Women's Center’s (NYAWC) Project Free anti-trafficking service program assists and empowers survivors of human trafficking, a form of modern-day slavery. Project Free is one of the very few places in New York where Asian trafficking survivors can go to receive culturally and linguistically appropriate services that help them to regain their freedom, recover from trauma and reach stability and self-sufficiency.  Project Free also conducts outreach to Asian American communities, law enforcement, and other service providers in New York City to heighten awareness about trafficking, and participates in policy advocacy to impact positive change in laws around human trafficking in the U.S. and New York State.
