Annual Major Taylor Cycling Club Picnic Ride

Annual picnic ride for all members and guests. The ride will be a no drop ride with several groups. The distance will vary from a short 30 mile course up to 50 miles. Come ready to have fun with your fellow cyclists.
Ride begins: 7:30 AM Pictures 7:45 AM Ride SHARP (50 & 30 mile rides)
For those of you only coming to fellowship the BBQ will begin at 11:00 AM.
We are only allowed 50 people at the grove so the 1st 50 people to RSVP have priority.
The club will provide meat for the grill. Club members are asked to bring pop/soda, chips, side items or desserts to share (with approximately 10-15 people).

15-20 Mile Ride - No Drop no minimum pace. Will ride at the pace of the slowest cyclist. This ride begins at 9:00 am SHARP. YOU MUST RSVP if you plan to do this ride. If we get no RSVP's, we will cancel this group.
The rides is intended for those who are capable of maintaining the stated paces or faster for the given distances. Bring water/sports drink, pump/CO2, energy bar/dried fruit, ID, and $$. These are no drop rides.

Major Taylor Cycling Club Chicago
The Major Taylor Cycling Club Chicago, South Side Chicago's newest cycling club, invites you to join us on a variety of rides and events. Organized in 2008, we are a club made up of all ages, cycling disciplines and cycling abilities. Active members enjoy riding together year round in a relaxed and friendly group atmosphere. Our rides range from short, easy trips for beginners, to moderately-paced tours with snack breaks, to fast, challenging rides for the more competitive minded. Volunteer club members organize group rides, leaving from various locations throughout the South side of Chicago and Northwest Indiana. Their routes provide us a wonderful variety of places to tour and explore. Some months there are 20 or more rides to choose from! Rides can be anywhere from 10 to 100+ miles, with different degrees of difficulty and speed. Therefore, we grade rides by distance, speed, and terrain so you can choose the ones you will be comfortable with. Popular rides tend to be 25 to 50 miles, usually with a lunch or snack stop. Whether your focus is a fast, challenging ride or something more leisurely, come see what fun club riding can be. Our rides are free, and non-members are welcome to come try us out.
