Want to try more Arduino programming? In this workshop, you'll get hands-on in the world of Arduino programming through breadboarding, activating and animating light (LEDs and LED strips). We will discuss design applications for your own projects, types of sensory triggers, and create a new light animation to try out in real time on the LED strip we'll mount on our storefront awning.
If you're unfamiliar with the Arduino check out this cool TED Talk that describes the kinds of inventions that people are dreaming up with this neat little board. While we will be focusing on programming lights, the possibilities are truly endless.
For ages 11 and up, adults welcomed.

Join our MakerSpace for Youth Inventors of All Ages
The Makery is an educational makerspace - part shop, part workshop, part exploreground. A venue where youth and adults are encouraged to be curious, to tinker, to experiment, and to make with technology. The Makery is a place where communities can gather to play with the creative power of digital design and fabrication, physical computing, and creative coding. The inverse of a store, come create from your own imagination. In addition to workshop classes, we also build periodic exhibits and events for the public to explore. Check out what's happening.
