Chicago Android (Uki D. Lucas) and Mobile Monday Chicago are proud to present an intensive one-day "Android 201" workshop with nationally-known Android instructor, Mark Murphy.
This course builds on the series of "Android 101" workshops offered by Chicago Android in order to help students advance to the next level of competency with the platform.
As a prerequisite, all students SHOULD have successfully completed at least couple of FREE classes offered by ChicagoAndroid.com: SMS sending and receiving, barcode scanner, Database access, WebKit, GPS, etc. Due to the high demand for this course, no exceptions can be made.
Uki (Uki@ChicagoAndroid.com) will announce location of Monday evening get-togethers to fulfill the prerequisites.

1:15-2:30 Remote Services lecture & hands-on
2:30-3:45 Maps lecture & hands-on
3:45-5:00 Media lecture & hands-on
Registration is limited to just 30 participants in order to offer this rare "hands on" course with Mr. Murphy. As mentioned, due to the intense nature of this workshop, a minimal level of experience is required. Students completely new to Android cannot be accommodated for this workshop. (Look for additional entry level workshops coming soon!)
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Mark Murphy is the founder of CommonsWare and the author of the Busy Coder’s Guide to Android Development and other books on Android application development. Mr. Murphy teaches Android development courses nationally and internationally at all levels.
A three-time entrepreneur, his experience ranges from consulting on open source and collaborative development for the Fortune 500 to application development on just about anything smaller than a mainframe. He has been a software developer for over 25 years, from the TRS-80 to the latest crop of mobile devices. A polished speaker, Mr. Murphy has delivered conference presentations and training sessions on a wide array of topics internationally.
