Android mega-meetup at Google
Tuesday, June 5, 2012 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM (PDT)
Join mobile developers for an Android meetup graciously hosted at Google, featuring two of its top Android engineers.
Alejandro Nijamkin: Service-Based App Architecture
Keith Kiyohara: The Evolution of Mobile Phones
This event will be short and sweet so please show up promptly at 7:00PM. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. Parking is severely limited, please carpool or use mass transportation. The first 30 cars can park in a lot on Sunset and Hampton (across from Gold's Gym). If this lot is full or you can't find it, please park around the neighborhood as signage permits. There will be no parking at the Google office.
Alejandro joined Google in 2010, started on the photos mobile team, and worked on the Google+ app for Android. Among other things, he owned the photo viewer Activity (the screen that lets you see and interact with photos) and the Kennedy redesign for the entire app. Lately he has been doing some experimentation and prototyping for novel ways to interact with and create photo content socially for Google+ on Android.
Keith has been working in software for over 30-years and has been at Google for the past 5-years. He has worked on everything from video games, e-commerce, railroad control systems, photo sharing and Project Glass. He also teaches a Lego robotics course to 4th and 5th graders.
