This lecture covers the very basics in android applications development. It is an highly practical lecture that can serve as a jump start for every software developer who wants to learn how to develop applications for the android platform. By the end of this lecture you will know how to develop simple basic applications in Java for android and be capable of placing them for download at google play. By the end of this lecture you will understand which topics you should learn when moving forward with learning the android platform on your own.
The lecture is suitable for people with background in software development. It is highly recommended to come with your laptop already installed with the following (the installation takes time and you won't have that time during the lecture):
1. Java Development Kit (avoid Java 7 and install JDK 6) - www.oracle.com
