Event Details

Schmoozd is stoked to announce MentorNight - a NEW interactive series of great events for entrepreneurs, mentors & mentors.  MentorNight brings together the brightest minds around to share what's new and what's possible.

Here's what you can expect from this event:
  • Get direct insight on what's next in cloud computing directly from the CTO of Rackspace
  • Access to successful people (mentors) who are doing things right in the tech startup space - up close and personal.
  • A chance to converse, share ideas with LA's hottest movers and shakers.

People today ask, “Can the cloud help my business?” The answer is yes, and soon your company will be entirely online. The thought of building and managing a datacenter will seem as odd as buying DVDs or having a phone with a landline. Most companies will be 100% digital and 100% virtual, and the world will be hyper-connected through cloud-based ecosystems. And this isn’t just for IT companies delivering software from the cloud. Your business won’t  just sit on top of the cloud, your business will integrate applications fully into it, which is actually at the heart of what makes the cloud so revolutionary and powerful.

If you host even one app or your whole stack on the internet, you are a savvy cloud company. It’s not a buzzword anymore. It’s the reality. So, who do you want to control your business? The technology vendor ecosystem will have the opportunity to grow and accelerate innovation around an open cloud standard, which will benefit your business, because, in the not so distant future, you will not have to architect your products for each proprietary cloud vendor.

Can the cloud help your business? Find out how, as the future of the cloud is open!

John Engates, CTO of Rackspace Hosting, will be here to share with you the ins and outs on cloud computing for 2013.
