An invitation: Connect in a different way
Monday, September 17, 2012 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM (EDT)
New York, NY
Project Exponential has become a movement inspiring people to step outside of their typical routines and industries for greater inspiration. Curated events introduce strangers through creative problem solving. Small, invite-only gatherings occur in hidden kitchens, underground cellars, tea houses, and small eateries, delighting those who are looking for a meaningful networking experience.
On Monday, September 17, experience a taste for yourself.
What you get:
An exclusive, private party in an unique space
Individuals from a variety of industries and experiences
Creative problems that foster meaningful connection
Tea-infused cocktails and assorted hors d'oeuvres
Discounts on in-store Harney & Sons products
Raffle prizes: Discover Outdoors, Tattly, Daly Pie, Little Muenster and more
There are plenty of neworking events that are expected. You attend, hope to find who you are looking for, and are lucky to leave with two or three contacts that are meaningful to you. Project Exponential is a little different.
Come ready to learn from others, borrow skills from a different industry, and follow up with some coffee dates.
See you there!
Why can't I see the guest list? We like even playing fields. We've made a commitment to foster meaningful connection, and we think surprises are too rare in our world. Some people like the ability to leave their titles at the door; others want to leave preconceived notions behind and meet people for who they are, not for what company they work for.
Is this limited to past attendees? All are welcome. Bring your friend, colleague, or an interesting person you met at the coffee shop.
What's the dress code? What makes you confident? We like to think what you wear says something about you. Be presentable. Be comfortable. You're there to shine!
What if I don't know anybody? Not to worry, we've created special problems for you to solve to help you break out of your shell.
Will I receive an invitation to an event? We can't guarantee invitations to all, but if you'd like to be considered for future events, we can certainly put you on the roster.
What should I bring? Business cards, toothpicks, cookies, your Etch-A-Sketch --- whatever you use to be memorable and meet others. You're unique. That's good.
Where's the afterparty? We provide you with the backdrop for you to make interesting connections. It's up to you to do the rest. You'll be in SoHo, so there are plenty of options...
How can I follow up with the people I meet? Plan bike rides, schedule coffee dates, get ready to make something happen.
