Philadelphia Behavior Therapy Association
Philadelphia Behavior Therapy Association (PBTA) began as a regional affiliate of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT, previously the Association for the Advancement of Behavior Therapy or AABT). It is a long-standing, interdisciplinary organization that promotes the practice of scientifically-based psychotherapy in the Philadelphia region, and has a tradition of providing education, promoting dissemination and facilitating networking among the local CBT-oriented community.
Membership in PBTA carries many benefits, including:
Free admission to PBTA talks. Talks are given by prominent CBT-oriented professionals on topics of special interest to PBTA members.
Discounted admission to half-day and full-day workshops.
Free CE credits (for PBTA sponsored events) for psychologists, Pennsylvania-licensed professional counselors, marriage and family therapists, and clinical social workers.

Joining an important movement. When you join PBTA, you become part of an effort to educate the local community about cognitive behavior therapy and empirically supported treatments.
