Robert B. Reich, Chancellor’s Professor of Public Policy at UC Berkeley, was Secretary of Labor in the Clinton administration. He has written thirteen books, including “Aftershock,” the “Work of Nations,” and “Beyond Outrage.” His award-winning movie, “Inequality for All,” is a passionate argument on behalf of the middle class. He will speak about the role of baby boomers in the changing workforce; the necessity of a living wage; healthcare; and how change will come about.

Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse is a state-of-the-art performance venue located in the heart of Berkeley's downtown Arts and Cultural District. Since its founding in 1968, Freight & Salvage has been deeply rooted in the aspects of Berkeley's culture that embrace freedom, tolerance, cooperation, and innovation. The newly renovated 18,000 square foot, green facility was designed and constructed to meet the Gold standards for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification.

Adult Day Services Network of Alameda County (ADSNAC)

Adult Day Services Network of Alameda County (ADSNAC) is an organization of six non-profit agencies that operate 13 Adult Day Services programs across Alameda County. These welcoming and therapeutic programs offer an affordable daytime care option for frail elders and adults with disabilities who need specialized health and personal care, yet want to remain living at home.

ADSNAC provides a focal point for the important role of Adult Day Services in Alameda County. Each year, over 4,000 frail seniors, adults with disabilities and their families in Alameda County received personalized information and essential support services through ADSNAC and the County’s 13 Adult Day Services programs.

ADSNAC and its member agencies serve as the first point of contact for many families in need of information, guidance and support when making decisions. We provide free personalized referrals to help families connect with community options that best serve the needs of their loved ones and fit their individual caregiving situations.
