For one night only, world-renowned pianist Raul Sunico will be performing in a dazzling classical music concert to help support ministers and missionaries around the world. Mr. Raul Sunico is internationally recognized as a prominent concert pianist, orchestral soloist, and a composer-arranger of Philippine music. He has performed as a soloist in numerous prestigious orchestras including the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, Transylvania Philharmonic Orchestra in Romania, and Szczecin Philharmonic Orchestra in Poland.
Excelling at a number of international competitions, Sunico is a medalist at the Viotti International Piano Competition in Vercelli, Italy, finalist at the Busoni International Piano Competition in Bolzano, Italy, and recipient of the Henry Cowell Prize at the University of Maryland International Piano Competition. He is also a TOYM (The Outstanding Young Men of the Philippines) honoree for Music in 1986, is currently President of the Cultural Center of the Philippines and the Dean of the Conservatory of Music of the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines.
Proceeds from “An Evening with Raul Sunico” will help Christian workers through the JIR Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting Christian ministers, missionaries and their families in need. Along with Sunico, the much-anticipated benefit concert will also feature a variety of brilliant classical music performers, among them Soprano Annie Nepomuceno, the Harana Men's Chorus, and the Soriano Strings Duet.
