Join WGBH on Wednesday, May 8, at 6:30pm for a lively conversation with author Kim McLarin about her new book Divorce Dog: Motherhood, Men, and Midlife.
The latest work from the writer People magazine called “fiercely acerbic” and “compelling” is a hilarious and heartfelt memoir. With insight, humor, and grace, McLarin takes on the pain of divorce, the evolving meaning of race, the embarrassment of mid-life dating, and the maddening possibility of love.
McLarin, a regular panelist on WGBH’s Basic Black — Boston’s long-running weekly television program devoted to African American themes — will read excerpts from her book and answer audience questions. A book signing and dessert reception will follow her presentation.
