Award winning author and foster/adoptive parent, Helen Ramaglia is an abuse, foster care and trauma survivor. She is also a speaker, educator and coach working across America to help foster children overcome the trauma and hardships they experienced growing up before and sometimes while in the child welfare system.
Her current mission is to help others facing similarly dark time learn to use their unique experiences to shine.
It's truly amazing to witness what can become of a little girl who was once so abused, emotionally neglected and traumatized that she lost the ability to speak completely. It is Helen's amazing story of healing and recovery that has served as the backbone of Fostering SuperStars and which spreads through all other aspects of Helen's life today. Her work can be read in the Chronicle for Social Change, Foster Focus Magazine, Fostering Families Today Magazine, and other international publications. Through writing, speaking and education, Helen continues to work every day to make the world a better place for her children and the many displaced children awaiting a better future. A better life that took Helen most of her life to find, all alone.
This session is a two part event. You may come for part or stay for both
* 5:30 - 6:00 - Meet and Greet
* 6:00 - 7:00 - The Journey
* 7:15 - 9:00 - Fostering SuperStars - Turning Surviving into Thriving
* Choose to attend just "The Journey', or stay afterwards for Helen's workshop
and acquire even more foster parent training hours.
Helen uses her own personal story to inspire, captivate and empower society to become heroes in the lives of children in distress. She passionately shares a raw transparent journey through a lifetime of devastation. Helen also shares about her unique relationship with God that has guided her to where she is today. Take the Journey and hold the heart of a foster child.
New understanding that leads to a better understanding of the children in foster care.
