Join Project V.O.I.C.E. and HUB San Francisco for an Evening of Spoken Word Poetry with Sarah Kay & Phil Kaye
Poets Sarah Kay and Phil Kaye have thrilled audiences from TED conferences to HBO's Def Poetry Jam to Maximum Security Prison. Travelling around the globe performing their original work, they draw from traditions of theater, storytelling and slam poetry to create a show that welcomes while it wows.
Project V.O.I.C.E. (Vocal Outreach Into Creative Expression) celebrates and inspires self-expression through Spoken Word Poetry. Conceived in 2004, Project V.O.I.C.E. encourages people to engage with the world around them and use Spoken Word Poetry as an instrument through which they can explore and better understand their culture, their society, and ultimately themselves. Project V.O.I.C.E. brings together performance, writing, and a supportive environment to inspire others to recognize that their views are significant, valid, and necessary.
Show begins promptly at 7pm.
