An Afternoon with the anonymoUS initiative: Music & Musings on Bullying
Sunday, November 11, 2012 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM (CST)
Dance music artist and Dallas native Mona Chatterjee brings home a performance to benefit the anonymoUS initiative, a non-profit anti-bullying movement dedicated to helping all of us come out, come together and overcome the scars and secrets that hold us back.
Attendance is free; $10 donations or purchase of the book and/or soundtrack accepted at the door.
The event serves as the Dallas release of the charity's book and soundtrack, which are sold to raise money for anti-bullying charitites across the United States. The "anthology of anonymoUS" -- a colorful 70-page coffee table containing 99 clandestine confessions about the ways we bully ourselves, as told through art, poetry, emails, journal entries and short stories will be sold as well as the soundtrack "anonymUSe: mUSical mUSings about the ways we bully ourselves" to raise money to support anti-bullying charities.
The show will highlight fellow Dallas locals involved in the initiative, singer Dede Murcer Moffet and writer Paula Felps, as well as include a presentation from Michael Anthony about his journey through creating this timely organization. The event will culminate with a concert by Mona Chatterjee, followed by a book signing and refreshments.
Doors Open: 1:30pm
Reception/Book Signing: 3-4pm
