VIDA Children is a San Francisco-based nonprofit organization focused on improving the lives, education and career potential of Oaxacan children in need. VIDA has worked for 11 years as a small group of Bay Area activists bootstrapping a self-funded charity. Now the organization is hosting its first official fundraiser to broaden the network of San Francisco volunteers and raise funds to build a dedicated facility to serve the children and community in Oaxaca.
The Amor for VIDA Tastings, Tequila and Temptations Cocktail Event will be held on May 2nd 2013 at the Children's Creativity Museum in Yerba Buena. You know where it is... it's the beautiful Carosel next to Moscone South. The event will feature an array of Mexican foods, music, handicrafts and of course... Tequila. You are welcome to bring your children and family. The activities in the museum will be open and available for them to explore. It will truly be an enjoyable evening for kids of ALL ages.
Won't you join us for this festive Cinco De Mayo season event? It's a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Mexico and its beautiful people and culture, as well as to share some of the bounties we're blessed with here in the Bay Area. We hope to see you there and welcome you into the VIDA family.

When & Where
VIDA was founded in 2001 by Elizabeth Tatum to improve the lives of orphans in Oaxaca, Mexico. We are dedicated to reaching them while in grade school, and later helping them break the cycle of poverty by offering education leading to self-sustaining careers. We empower students by offering mentoring, tutors, food, clothes, school supplies, and most importantly -- emotional support.
