About Us

Los Niños De La Calle Con Wendy (Children of the Street with Wendy) foundation, is a non-profit organization, 501(c)(3), dedicated to helping children, families and individuals in need. The foundation has provided support to children and families in Orange County and in Mexico continuously since 2006. Throughout the years, we have donated thousands of backpacks, blankets, meals and provided thousands of dollars in scholarships.

Last year, over 6,500 meals were served to the homeless, over 500 backpacks filled with school supplies were donated to low income children and the Wendy M. Trujillo Memorial Scholarship was awarded to 4 high school students whom demonstrated humanitarian qualities and academic success.

This year marks our 8th year anniversary since the foundation was established. Our success is possible thanks to your continued support and the dedication of our volunteers. Join us for an evening of dance and music as we celebrate you, our valued amigos (friends), who make the Los Niños De La Calle Con Wendy foundation possible!

Grupo Folklorico Monte Alban was founded in 2003 by dance instructor, Fe Perez. Monte Alban is dedicated to preserve Mexican Culture through its regional folk dances. The group consists of over 45 members who are divided into three categories: beginners, intermediate and advanced. Ages range between 4 years to 45 years old. The group’s main goal is to preserve the Mexican culture as well as maintain our children active and out of trouble.

The group was named after the archaeological site Monte Alban, located in the valley of the Mexican State of Oaxaca. Monte Alban is one of the most outstanding archeological sites in Mexico. Its grandeur is powerful and astonishing. At its time, Monte Alban was an important ceremonial center, as well as a necropolis and strength of the Zapotec, Mixtec and Olmec.

Just like its name rich in culture, Monte Alban is dedicated to the dissemination of the Mexican Culture interpreting typical dances from various Mexican states including Baja California, Jalisco, Guerrero, Distrito Federal, Michoacán, Nayarit, Nuevo Leon, Oaxaca, Sinaloa, Veracruz, Chiapas, Campeche, Durango and Colima.
