Katie East, Naomi Ekperigin, and Laura Sanders are a hot mess—and aren’t afraid to say so. From April 3-11, they will be parading their vices on a southern comedy tour.
The idea for the “American Mess” Tour began with Baton Rouge native Katie East, who returned to Louisiana after a five-year stint performing improv and stand-up comedy in New York City. Katie knew the key to a successful tour was the right combination of comedians. She immediately reached out to New Yorker Naomi Ekperigin and Ohioan Laura Sanders, whom she worked with in the past. “They’re both hilarious and talk about similar things in very different ways,” East says. “If I was going to go on the road I wanted it to be with funny women who I like a lot and know audiences will, too.”
